Riddle me this…..

I am hoping that all my Mommy friends had a good Mother’s Day.  I know I did!  Got to see my family down in San Diego, got to get a body scrub with my friend Courtney, then out to dinner with our husbands- all at their doing.  It was great.  We spent yesterday with Mike’s side of the family.  Kids made me some great cards.  Awesome.

Ok, so all this post is about is one question that has bothered me for a very long time.  Where are Max and Ruby’s parents?  I mean, they have a grandma.  But no folks.  Ruby always is taking care of everything.  Also, how old are they?

Sorry, I am puzzled by this.  Was there some strange bunny accident somewhere to leave these two as orphans?  Did they get poisoned?  Do they work all the time?  Are they latch key bunnies?  Did they run away from home and now are living on the lam?  Sheesh.  This is where my mind goes.

  1. lol! i have never watched this show…so this is what mom’s spend their time thinking about?!:) sounds like a great mom’s saturday! šŸ™‚

  2. All I care about is that there are finally some new episodes on this week. My kids are watching a new episode right now! I ask my kids about the parents too – it doesn’t seem to bother them. Hmmmmm…..

  3. I WANT TO KNOW TOO!!! I have thought before – doesn’t it bother the kids that there are no parents in this show?!?!? OK – I want to know if you find out!!

  4. As in most other classic stories, we don’t see Max and Ruby’s parents, because I believe that kids resolve their issues and conflicts differently when they are on their own. The television series gives kids a sense about how these two siblings resolve their conflicts in a humorous and entertaining way.
I copied this right from Nickelodeon – but I am not pleased with the answer – how many 7 and 3 year olds do you know that go get groceries, etc.?!?!? Kind of odd!!

  5. Well, it’s also bothered me for some time why so many of the Disney movies have no mother for the children in them. Somehow, the mothers are all deceased….
Things that make you go “Hmmmm”.

  6. 1) I was thinking the same thing! I watched it the other day while I was babysitting and Ruby actually tucks Max in for bed and then goes and tucks herself in! Where is the mother/father/other parental guardian to take care of them??
    2) I’m so glad I’m NOT the only one who uses the phrase “riddle me this…”! I used it a few weeks ago up at school and the entire group I was with started cracking up! “Who uses that phrase anymore??” they cackled…sigh what do they know! šŸ™‚
    see where MY mind goes?

  7. LOL! I’d like to know how many 7 and 3 year olds resolve their conflicts in a humorous and entertaining way! My 7 and 3 year olds don’t have much of a sense of humor while in conflict. šŸ™‚
